Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre (SZGMC) was established in 2008 by decree No. (27) of 2018, issued by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan UAE Vice President , Deputy Prime Minister , and chairman of the Presidential Court, concerning “Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre”, annulling decree No. (7) of 2012. Under this decree, the Centre aims to:

Highlight the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s noble deeds, promote his legacy, and accentuate his fine qualities and humanitarian contributions.
Promote Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, preserve its religious, scientific, and cultural status, and twin between it and between mosques, major cultural institutions, and the Islamic world.
Introduce the Centre as a destination that highlights the culture of tolerance, serves as a global Islamic cultural center, underscores values of coexistence and tolerance among nations, and is renowned as a unique cultural and tourist attraction.
