ABOUT
Rashid School for Boys first opened its doors in September 1986. The school is in Nad Al Sheba, a few kilometers inland from the end of Dubai Creek. It started as a secondary school and has since grown to include a primary section and is therefore now a ‘through school’ offering an education for Emirati students aged 3 to 18.
The admission policy into the school has evolved over the years, previously with up to 20% expatriate students being admitted from its opening to the year 2000. Now nearly all students are Emirati, with admission taking place only at the Foundation Stage when children are aged under five. The school underwent a major expansion in 2003 when a Primary Section was opened. This outstanding facility complemented the existing Secondary Section to produce a wonderful learning environment and some of the best educational resources in the region.
Many former students have now taken on important leadership roles in Dubai, in areas such as government, business and the arts. The impact that the school has had on the emirate is significant and this influence continues to grow each year.
The school works closely with its sister school, Latifa School for Girls, and many families have sons and daughters in both schools.
