From the team behind Dubai’s beloved Asian-Middle Eastern concept BB Social Dining, Greek restaurant Philotimos is a change of direction in more than one way. While BB seemingly never met a rulebook it didn’t fancy tearing up, Philotimos leans into classic Greek dining, in a cute taverna-inspired setting.

Found in Dar Wasl Mall – home to the likes of Reif Japanese Kushiyaki – Philotimos is a low-key spot for an unlicensed Greek meal.

Its décor is calm and soothing, all white-washed walls and blue furnishings, comfy cushions and sweepings of dried flowers. It’s typically Greek, and feels more than a step away from the echoey mall corridors.
